Background. All-Stars provides an opportunity for committed players to gain several weeks of intensive softball competition. The players, coaches, and parents all enjoy the atmosphere and camaraderie. Our league has had great success in recent years at all age levels, winning numerous District 1 championships, making strong showings at the State Tournament, winning state, and moving on to the Regional Tournament. We hope to continue this success in 2024.

Little League All-Star play is more competitive and selective than regular season play. Our league may field several All-Star teams, depending on interest, player commitment, and respective skill levels.

Eligibility. Read the international tournament FAQs here (NOTE: Players must meet eligibility requirements to participate in All-Stars, including participation in 8 regular season games. The league submits player game participation data from GameChanger scorekeeping.)

Age Divisions. Age divisions are based on “league age,” meaning what age the player was on December 31, 2023. We hope to form teams in the age divisions of: 8/9/10, 9/10/11, 10/11/12, Juniors, and Seniors. As you can see, there is age crossover; some players could be eligible for more than one division.  But no player can play for more than one team, and no player can play “up” (e.g. a 9-year-old cannot play 10/11/12).  There is no guarantee that we will have teams at each level. More information here

Team Selection / Player Participation. Players are invited to express interest by May 17 in trying out for the team and participate in tryouts on May 19. Ultimately, the coaches and the Board will approve the final team rosters. Parents will not have input into team selection. With the competitive nature of All-Stars, players are expected to learn a specific position and teams may have only 1-2 pitchers. Players will participate in each game for a minimum of six defensive outs and bat at least one time.

Costs. The cost is $125 per player. Participation from parents will also be critical, as we’ll need team coordinators, scorekeepers, and help with transportation and logistics.

Tournament Schedule. All-Star participation requires a significant time investment for families, players, and coaches. Please consider the following practice and game schedules. Practices are 5-7 days a week depending on age level. State Tournament info is shared on the District Little League website here. Players may have exhibition game opportunities and are expected to be at all games and most practices during the dates shared below. It is important for consistency of practice and play.

- Players for 8/9/10 and 9/10/11 should be available for the District Tournament (potentially) through the State Tournaments (mid-end July).
- Players for 10/11/12, and Junior and Senior level should be available for District Tournament (potentially) through the State Tournaments and Regionals through July, and if they advance to the World Series, at the beginning of August.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email Beaumont Softball President Trask Colby.
