Dear Beaumont Softball Families-
We hope you all are well and safe during these unprecedented times. We know there are many hardships and uncertainties today and we hope you and your families are staying safe, staying well, and staying healthy.
In our hopes to keep a Spring or Spring/Summer season, we have been waiting to determine what the summer would look like in our area. We have been in close contact with our neighbor leagues in District 1 as well as other district leagues, and little league international to determine the best option for our league. We have taken longer than our counterpart Baseball leagues as we were waiting to see if PP&R would allow us to use the fields come June, as well as working with some of our Softball Leagues in the Portland Metro area to determine if we could have a Summer league. But due to constraints on fields, and restrictions with physical distancing we have decided it would be best to cancel our Season in its entirety and move forward with Summer and Fall events. We are planning to implement Camps/Clinics in the months of June and July. We also plan to have a fall season beginning in August and running through October.
With our season being cancelled we have three options for families regarding your Spring 2020 Registration fees. Below we have outlined the three options and ask that you complete the survey below by June 12th.
Option 1: Refund 75% Refund of your registration fee. Due to the costs that have already incurred for the Spring 2020 season we will not be able to refund at 100% for every player. Note: if your family needs a higher refund rate due to financial hardships due to COVID-19 please let us know.
Option 2: Credit your Spring 2020 registration fee to next season (Fall of 2020 or Spring of 2021)
Option 3: Donate your Spring 2020 Registration fee to the league. Donations will help offset costs that we already put forth for the season, camps/clinics over the summer, and scholarships for our other players. We have not collected many of our sponsorships for the season since many of our sponsors have been affected by closures, and lack of business during the pandemic. We will issue you a letter with our tax id for your records.

BSLL families, regardless of which option you decide works best for you, the Board wants to thank you for your participation in Beaumont Softball Little League.
Moving forward as a league. We are excited to bring Softball back after being shutdown over the past few months. We will be holding a few camps at Metro Courts in June and July. We will also be holding some camps and clinics outside as soon as we are able to obtain fields. Please keep a watch out for invitations and information about camps/clinics. We will be following all the state guidelines and rules for Camps/Clinics. Your players safety, and well-being, is our number one concern.
We are also planning to have a Fall Season beginning in August and run through October. We are waiting to determine how this will look based on the regulations set forth by the State, County, and PP&R. We imagine that we will be playing games against various teams across the Portland Metro Area, or just within our league or district. More information to come as well.
Please let us know if you have any questions, we are so thankful for our amazing Beaumont Softball community of families, and we look forward to a time when we can all be together on the field again. In the meantime, please go and play catch with your daughters, toss them some balls to practice their hitting, get outside and get moving. Every single touch matters, even 15 minutes in the backyard, driveway, street; between your Zoom Calls, before making dinner, in between the rain showers is valuable. Take the time and encourage your daughters to keep playing.
