League Announcements

Dear Beaumont Softball Families,

Please see the important updates from the league below, including:

Board President Transition
As you may already know, April Rice is stepping down as board president. April started Beaumont Softball in 2015 and she was previously VP of Softball for Hollywood Rose City Little League and part of Rose City Little League before it combined with Hollywood Little League.

Her dedication and commitment to the NE Portland softball community for the past 16 years is priceless and we are going to miss her, but we know the league will remain in good hands with our new president, Trask Colby. April will stay on the board this year as we make this transition.

We look forward to the knowledge and passion Trask will bring to the league. Please see the message below from Trask:

"Hello, Beaumont Softball Little League. My name is Trask Colby, and I will be taking over the duties of April as we move through the fall ball season and into the spring. I have been coaching in BSLL since the spring of 2021, coaching for 5 seasons, and this fall ball will be my 6th.

I grew up playing tee-ball through Babe Ruth in Rose City Park Little League. Throughout most of that time, my dad coached me, and that love of coaching from him led me always to want to coach my kid in whatever sport they played. My dad and I still talk after nearly every game and practice about what to work on and how much the girls are learning!

What I have loved about BSLL and why I volunteered to join the BSLL board is the community that has been built here. There is a passion for empowering these young girls and teaching them to be great softball players. The leaders of the league have worked incredibly hard for so many years to build a league that respects the players, the coaches, and all the volunteers. It is because of that groundwork that I joined the board, and I think now is a great time for new members to join this board as well.

I look forward to hearing from and meeting all of you throughout the upcoming seasons and look forward to your advice and recommendations so we can continue to have this amazing place to play softball."

We are still in need to fill two board positions.
• Player Agent (currently unfilled)
• Equipment Manager (filled but looking for replacement)

Gear and Uniform Drop Off
Saturday July 29 from 9:00-11:00 am at Roseway Heights Softball Shed on the corner of NE Alameda and 72nd.

Fall Season Registration
The week of July 31 (next week!) Fall Ball registration will be opening! More information coming soon.
